How to Enable FortiGate Encryption Indicator (padlock icon) in FortiAnalyzer


FortiAnalyzer is a powerful log management and analysis solution from Fortinet, that offers a feature called the FortiGate Encryption Indicator, which provides a visual representation of encrypted log transmission within your network. By default, when you integrate FortiGate with FortiAnalyzer, a set enc-algorithm high command is auto-configured. This means the transmission log between FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer is active. But I don't know why the encryption indicator (padlock icon) doesn't appear like the encryption isn't working.

This article will explore how to enable the FortiGate Encryption Indicator in FortiAnalyzer.

Here is the steps:
  1. Login to your FortiGate device and open a CLI.

  2. Run the following command: 



  3. Back to FortiAnalyzer, and verify if the padlock icon appears.
