FortiAnalyzer is a powerful log management and analysis solution from Fortinet, that offers a feature called the FortiGate Encryption Indicator, which provides a visual representation of encrypted log transmission within your network. By default, when you integrate FortiGate with FortiAnalyzer, a set enc-algorithm high command is auto-configured. This means the transmission log between FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer is active. But I don't know why the encryption indicator (padlock icon) doesn't appear like the encryption isn't working.
This article will explore how to enable the FortiGate Encryption Indicator in FortiAnalyzer.
- Login to your FortiGate device and open a CLI.
- Run the following command:
- Back to FortiAnalyzer, and verify if the padlock icon appears.
Note:This article is implemented in FortiGate v7.2.3 and FortiAnalyzer v7.2.1
